Samsung is known for its curved or ultra-wide monitors fit for gaming. A while back, they offered several budget curved monitors for gaming as well.
But, now, with CES 2020, Samsung revealed a new Odyssey gaming monitor line up.
The line up includes two different models – both offering a 240 Hz display.
The curved QLED monitors are G9 and G7 respectively. With G9, you will get a 49-inch curved ultra-wide monitor and on the G7 you can expect a 32-inch and 27-inch variant.
The 49-inch G9 monitor will feature the world’s first Dual Quad High-Definition (5120 x 1440) resolution. It also includes a 1 ms response time on both the models to give the best possible experience when playing a game.
The G7 variant will offer a 32-inch and 27-inch model with Quad High-Definition (2560×1440) resolution. Both the variants should look identical ignoring the size.
The new Odyssey gaming monitors should also support NVIDIA G-Sync – however, official validation is still in progress (you can expect it when it’s up for orders). You may also see the support for AMD’s FreeSync technology before its commercial availability.
Samsung hasn’t yet revealed the pricing for the monitors but it is expected to be available around the second quarter of 2020.
