ASUS ZenBook Duo Is Back With A Smaller Display

Back in 2019, ASUS announced a rather interesting laptop in the form of the ASUS ZenBook Duo Pro. What made this particular laptop so unique that it came with a secondary 4K display built right above the keyboard, which if you think about it, is essentially like a souped up version of Apple’s Touch Bar on its MacBooks.

However, if the overall size of the ZenBook Duo Pro was too big for your liking, not to worry because at CES 2020, ASUS is bringing the concept back with the ZenBook Duo. It is essentially a similar concept except that it now sports a slightly more manageable 14-inch display versus the 15.6-inch display of last year’s model.

However, in the process, it seems that ASUS has opted to bring down the specs of the laptop, where its display is now a Full HD screen versus the 4K display on the Pro model. It also uses LCD instead of OLED, and the processors will be Intel’s 10th gen Comet Lake but will be the U-series which isn’t quite as powerful as the H-series.

There will be an option to include a discrete GPU in the form of the GeForce MX250, and RAM can also be configured to up to 16GB. There is no word on pricing just yet, but with the “downgraded” specs, we imagine that it should make it a lot more affordable compared to last year’s $2,500 model. It is also expected to be released in Q1 2020.
