The iPhone SE 2 – which could also be potentially called as “iPhone 9” will get into mass production next month for a potential March release schedule.
In case you did not know, the iPhone SE 2 will be a budget iPhone for under $400. Even though the pricing isn’t clear at the moment, we’re just a month away from its official reveal.
Bloomberg also reported that the assembly work for the iPhone SE 2/ iPhone 9 will be split among Hon Hai Precision Industry, Pegatron Corp. and Wistron Corp.
We’ve previously covered that the new iPhone SE 2 will follow iPhone 8’s design with a smaller form factor. Precisely, a 4.7-inch screen – which is incredibly small and handy.
The iPhone SE 2 is also expected to feature the Touch ID (which you may no longer find in its latest phones). So, that is a quite exciting news for Touch ID fans as well.
Looking at the current trend, Apple does need a budget alternative to its high-end iPhone to get more people to enter the iOS ecoystem.
So, obviously, the iPhone 9 (or the SE 2) will be a quite important launch for the company as well. Not just limited to the U.S but the cheaper model will definitely help get a better grasp with competitive pricing in countries like India.
