The Philips Hue smart bulb initially started as a humble bulb used for indoor lights. However, over the years, Philips expanded on the type of bulbs that would be available where we started seeing light strips as well, along with some outdoor lighting options. If you’re looking for more outdoor-based Hue lights, you might be in luck.
According to a report from HueBlog.de, they have stumbled across some information that has revealed that Philips could be working on a bunch of new outdoor Hue lighting options. We’re looking at lights such as outdoor spotlights and wall lanterns which will come in a variety of different shapes and designs.
However, all of them share one thing in common and that is they are Hue lights which means that they are smart bulbs that can be controlled using mobile devices and digital assistants. Presumably, given that they are Hue bulbs, they should also be compatible with Apple’s HomeKit platform.
There is no mention of pricing for these new Hue lights and if these lights will be the entire range, but given that CES is only a couple of weeks away, there is a good chance that Philips might have official information to share with us then, so stay tuned for updates.
