Calculator apps are a dime a dozen but for the most part, you need to know how to solve the problem first. However, what if you don’t know how to solve a math problem? It seems that Microsoft is here to help as the company has since launched a new app called the Microsoft Math Solver.
What makes this app pretty cool is the fact that it can solve complicated and complex math problems. The best part is that you don’t even need to enter the problem into the app, where you can actually scan handwritten equations and have it computed for you (you also have the option of drawing it on the screen if you prefer).
The app relies on AI to help solve your math problems and if it runs into a problem it can’t solve, it will then point you towards Bing where there could be a search result that could help you solve it. The app also won’t just spoonfeed you the answers, it will also be able to show a bunch of how-to videos based around the problem so that you can at the very least understand the concept, so that in the future you can solve it yourself.
The app still appears to be in beta but if you’re interested, you can take it for a spin where it will be available for both iOS and Android devices.
