The company is said to be in talks with the various music labels to work out some kind of licensing deal, and that it could even launch as soon as December.
Take it with a grain of salt for now, but given that TikTok is a music-based app, it’s not surprising that ByteDance is looking to expand on that. Whether or not it will have some kind of tie-in with TikTok or if it will be a completely separate product remains to be seen.
