However, it seems that the story of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was almost ruined when the full script for the movie made its way onto eBay for sale. This is according to an interview that the movie’s director JJ Abrams did with Good Morning America where he revealed that one of the actors of the movie left the script in their hotel room and was found by someone cleaning the place.
The script later made its way onto eBay where it was put up for sale, but according to Abrams, someone at the company noticed that this was a legit Star Wars script and they managed to get it back quickly without any issue, as evidenced given that there have not been any spoilers related to the movie to date.
We’re not sure if they would be forced to rewrite the story and reshoot the movie had the script been purchased by someone else, but we imagine that it would have been rather disastrous. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is currently set for a release on the 20th of December.
