Elon Musk’s Starlink project is going up a notch after its recent launch of 60 satellites into orbit.
Even though the scientists are concerned about the increase in the number of satellites as a threat to astronomy, it is still big progress for the high-speed Internet service.
The launch took place on Monday from a launchpad in Cape Canaveral, Florida. They were loaded onto a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.
After the lift-off, at exactly 280 km altitude, the rocket deployed the satellites.
In case you were not aware, the Starlink project aims to deploy a network of 12,000 satellites across the globe to enable high-speed Internet access anywhere possible.
Similar to all the other SpaceX launches, the rocket successfully landed on the landing pad based in the Atlantic ocean. The International Telecommunications Union is responsible for the permission to launch these satellites – if you were wondering.

They aim to add 30,000 satellites – however, there is no official confirmation on this whether they got the approval or not.
In addition to the successful launch, the threat to ‘Astronomy’ pointed out by scientists is something that is gaining attention now. The next set of launch could be affected if they do not address the concerns.
