According to the report, they claim that the D750’s successor might actually not be named the D760, which is the logical progression as far as model numbers are concerned. Instead, they claim that the camera could instead been known as the D770 or D790, but it will still hover between D760 to D790.
They also claim that the camera might merge both the D700 series and D800 series together, but what exactly that would entail remains to be seen. Other rumored specs include a 24MP BSI sensor, 4K video support, built-in WiFi and Bluetooth for wireless connectivity for photo transfer, a higher ISO range compared to the D850, support for 2x UHS-II SD memory cards, and as many as 153 AF points.
There will also be a touchscreen display and it could also sport an updated UI similar to that of the Nikon Z-series. It is rumored to be smaller than the D750 and could potentially be announced in early 2020. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we’ll have more details to share soon.
