However, according to a report from Fuji Addict, it seems that the X-H1’s successor, presumably the X-H2, may never see the light of day. Their sources are telling them that within Fujifilm, there is some disagreement about the fate of the camera, with some feeling that it needs to be discontinued while others thinking it should be given a second chance.
Their sources also tell them that Fujifilm is expected to hold a meeting at the end of November where the fate of the series will be discussed, although it has been suggested that the majority of people at Fujifilm seem to want to move on without it. Instead, it seems that Fujifilm could possibly bring some X-H1 features over to its X-Pro or X-T series.
For example, it was recently reported that the X-T4 could come with in-body image stabilization, a feature that debuted with the X-H1. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but if we don’t see an X-H2 in 2020, there’s a good chance it might have been cancelled.
