Adobe Illustrator Will Launch On The iPad In 2020

While Photoshop has been available for iOS devices for a while now, it always felt like a very hobbled and overly-simplified version of the desktop version of Photoshop. However, that changed a couple of days ago when Adobe released Photoshop for the iPad, bringing a considerably more robust image editing tool for the tablet.

However, if you’re a design or graphic artist that prefers to work in vectors, then there is a good chance that Illustrator is your software of choice, and you would actually be in luck because Adobe has recently confirmed that come 2020, they will be bringing Illustrator over onto the iPad.

When exactly it will launch remains to be seen, but as it stands, the app is still in the early stages of development. This means that at this point in time, no one really knows what the final app will look like. However, according to Adobe, they will be taking advantage of some of the iPad’s features like touch and Apple Pencil input.

It will also be expected to offer up syncing across multiple devices through Creative Cloud, and assuming it is anything like Photoshop, you will need a Creative Cloud subscription to use the app. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information regarding its launch, so check back with us at a later date for more details.
