However, it seems that the PlayStation Vue service might not be doing as well as Sony had hoped because in a report from The Information (paywall), it has been revealed that Sony could actually be looking to sell it off and have approached Bank of America Merrill Lynch to explore the possibility of a sale, and that one of the companies that could be in discussion is fuboTV.
That being said, it seems that these discussions could be in the very early stages or it could not be going anywhere because it seems that nothing concrete has been decided yet. As it stands, PlayStation Vue plays home to about 500,000 or so subscribers, putting it well behind other streaming services.
This includes Sling TV and Hulu Live TV, both of whom have about 2 million subscribers, while YouTube TV is said to play home to about 1 million subscribers. Take it with a grain of salt for now as Sony has yet to officially comment on the report.
