PS4 Cross-Play Feature Is Now Out Of The Beta Phase

PlayStation 4 is about to get the cross-play ability for the games that will officially support it. For a while now, it was in the beta phase.

The only game that would take advantage of this to start with is – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. In addition to the multiplayer mode and a new story, the Call Of Duty experience is going to be better than ever with the cross-play feature.

In case you are wondering, cross-play lets you play with any PC/Console players no matter what platform you are on. The mobile game which launched recently is totally a different thing and will not be a part of the cross-play feature.

Even though it has not been made official, Wired claims that the cross-play testing is officially out of the beta phase and will be made available for the developers. Of course, without anything official, we cannot expect a timeline or date for the availability of this feature.

Maybe, you will get it along with the launch of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare on October 25, or maybe sometime else.

While the cross-play feature sounds exciting and useful – it might be a challenging decision for a game like Call of Duty on PC or console. We may get an expected date for this feature to be available soon – but it is definitely around the corner for players as well.

Do you think that the cross-play feature on PS4 will be of any help? Feel free to let us know your thoughts in the comments.
