Google will be officially announcing their new Pixel 4 smartphones tomorrow, a phone which one could say is the worst-kept secret of 2019 as far as smartphones are concerned. In fact, leading up to the announcement, someone at Best Buy Canada thought it might be a good idea to post the full specs of the phone on its website.
The listing has since been taken down, but not before all of the phone’s specs and features were shown to the public. For the most part, a lot of these specs and features aren’t new to us as we have heard about them before, but it is nice to get some kind of confirmation. This includes features like Motion Sense, a new touchless way for users to interact with the phone.
Then there are also improvements made to the camera, where it has been suggested that the Pixel 4 could be used for astrophotography.
In terms of specs, the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will share similar hardware which includes the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of base storage. They will also be sporting a dual camera system that combines 12MP and 16MP sensors. The main difference between either handset would be in their display.
The Pixel 4 is said to come with a 5.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display, while the Pixel 4 XL will have a larger 6.3-inch QHD+ OLED display. There is also mention of a “smooth display”, suggesting that the rumors of a 90Hz refresh rate could be true.
