However, it seems that despite Apple’s best efforts, they might not be smarter than kids. This is because according to a report from The Washington Post, children have been finding loopholes in the Screen Time feature that allows them to get around the limitations that their parents have imposed on them.
According to Chris McKenna, founder of internet safety group Protect Young Eyes, “These are not rocket science, backdoor, dark web sort of hacks. It blows me away that Apple hasn’t thought through the fact that a persistent middle school boy or girl can bang around and find them.”
While Apple has yet to comment on the bugs and loopholes kids have discovered, Apple spokeswoman Michele Wyman was quoted as saying that the company is “committed to providing our users with powerful tools to manage their iOS devices and are always working to make them even better.”
