Some are expecting that Apple will most likely announce iPad Pro refreshes later this month alongside a new 16-inch MacBook Pro, but if Kuo’s predictions are correct, and they usually are with uncanny accuracy, there is a chance that we won’t be seeing an iPad Pro refresh this year. The alternative theory is that one model could be refreshed while the other will be delayed to next year, although that is a bit out of line on how Apple usually operates.
According to Kuo, one of the main changes coming to the iPad Pro is a new 3D time of flight sensor. This technology is usually used together with augmented reality to help devices measure depth information in the real world, although how exactly Apple plans on incorporating it remains to be seen.
In addition to a new iPad Pro in early 2020, Kuo reiterates that the iPhone SE 2 will also be launching in early 2020.
