According to a discovery in the iOS 13.2 beta yesterday, it was hinted that Apple could have a new set of AirPods they were planning on announcing. This comes in the form of noise cancelling AirPods that we have been hearing about for a while now, and it seems that it could be announced soon.
This is based on new AirPods icons found in the beta which suggests that the earbuds could be getting a redesign, and now thanks to graphic designer Michael Rieplhuber, he has shared a concept render of what the new AirPods could look like. For some reason based on the design, the new AirPods seem to be “fatter” than the previous-gen models, but it is possible that it could simply be the design itself.
One of the notable changes is the introduction of ear tips, which we’re not sure are interchangeable for different sizes, but it could allow for a snugger fit which could help with noise isolation and cancellation. We should point out that this is not the first time we’re seeing this design. Previously, an alleged leaked photo showed off the design as well.

As to when the new AirPods will be announced, we have heard that Apple could be planning an event for October where the rumored 16-inch MacBook Pro and iPad Pro refreshes could be announced, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
