In one case, one bank in the UK, NatWest, has pulled the app from the Google Play Store for Samsung Galaxy S10 owners. Another bank, the Nationwide Building Society, has disabled the fingerprint log-in option from the app. To date, US banks don’t seem to have done anything so the good news is that you can keep using the app as it is for now, although we’re not sure if you should, or at the very least you should disable the fingerprint log-in option just to be safe.
That being said, it should be pointed out that Samsung has since acknowledged the issue and have stated that they are working on a fix that should be arriving this week. In the meantime, the company has also advised users of their smartphones to make sure that they use official Samsung accessories to prevent similar issues from cropping up in the future.
