By the end of this week, if the rumors are to be believed, Apple could be gearing up to launch a new set of AirPods where it will be known as the AirPods Pro. These are a set of AirPods that will come with better audio and also noise-cancelling features. Now thanks to a couple of photos shared on Slashleaks, it shows what is allegedly the charging case for the upcoming headphones.
As you can see, this looks very different from the charging case of the current AirPods. This case seems to be bigger in terms of length, but we’re not sure if it is shorter in terms of height. As to how legitimate these photos are, an update to the post on Slashleaks notes that it is possible that what we’re looking at is a Chinese knockoff, but at the same time, is still a “likely accurate” depiction of the original model.
That being said, it’s probably a good idea to take these photos with a grain of salt for now, but if the rumors are true, then we should find out soon enough. Other rumors we’ve heard about the AirPods Pro include how they might come in as many as eight color options and that they could also be significantly pricier than the regular AirPods at $260, largely thanks to the noise-cancelling feature.
