If you’re a budding photographer or videographer, you know that it can be intimidating when it comes to using editing tools like Adobe Photoshop or Premiere Elements. While these are extremely powerful tools favored by the heavy hitters in the industry, they can be overwhelming due to the sheer number of functions that are available.
However, the good news is that in a bid to make its software more accessible to newbies and also to help ease the workflow of professionals, in the 2020 version of Adobe Photo and Premiere Elements, the company has introduced some AI tools in the form of Adobe Sense AI. This will help users perform certain tasks in both software by drastically reducing the steps involved.
For example in Photoshop Elements 2020, Adobe will introduce a new one-click subject selection. This will automatically outline a person or an object to let users crop it from photos, duplicate it, add a new background, transfer it to another photo, and so on. Given that selection tools for objects without a straight edge, like people with frizzy hair, animals with fur, or irregular shaped objects, can be a nightmare for beginners to select, this will help the entire process.
Premiere Elements has also been given some new tools that will help improve video footage that might be a bit dark. Through a drag-and-drop effect, it will help smoothen out picture quality and even reduce the amount of “noise” in the footage. These are pretty useful tools and might be worth checking out if you plan to use either software.
