16-inch MacBook Pro Could Be Apple’s Fastest Charging Laptop To Date

According to the rumors, Apple is set to launch a 16-inch MacBook Pro later this year. This will be Apple’s largest laptop to date following the company’s decision to kill off its 17-inch MacBook Pros several years ago. However, apart from the rumors of a larger display, we have also heard rumors that it could be packing a new revamped keyboard that could do away with the keyboard problems once and for all.

Now in addition to those changes, a report from Chongdiantou, the Chinese sibling website of ChargerLAB, it seems that the 16-inch MacBook Pro could also be the company’s fastest charging laptop to date. This is because based on the information they’ve found, it seems that the laptop could be shipped with a 96W USB-C power adapter.

This is a step up from the 87W USB-C power adapter that is being shipped with the 15-inch MacBook Pros. Now, in terms of speed, clearly the step up in power could mean that it charges faster, but at the same time, it is possible that because of the larger display that it could actually use more power and so in the end, it might end up being the same in terms of speed.

Alternatively, it could also hint at a larger battery that could take longer to charge, thus the inclusion of a larger battery. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but we have heard that Apple could announce something later this month, so check back with us soon for the details.
