Samsung’s Galaxy A series of smartphones have typically been known for their affordability due to the fact that they’re generally positioned as mid-ranged devices. This also usually means that while you save money, you might have to sacrifice on certain features that might otherwise be available on high-end flagships.
However, with the Samsung Galaxy A90 5G, that doesn’t seem to be the case. So far, 5G has been limited to flagship handsets, but with the launch of the Galaxy A90 5G, Samsung is bringing 5G to mid-range devices, although given the specs of the phone, we’re not sure if it can be considered mid-range, perhaps more of an upper mid-range?
The Galaxy A90 5G will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset which is used by some of 2019’s flagship handsets, although we suppose this was necessary if Samsung wanted to enable 5G for the phone. Other features include the use of a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, 6-8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage that can be expanded using a microSD card.
On the camera side of things, we’re looking at a triple camera combo on the back of the phone which uses 48MP + 5MP + 8MP sensors, and on the front, a 32MP sensor. It will also come with a 4,500mAh battery with 25W Super Fast Charging. There is no word on pricing or availability yet but it will be showcased at IFA 2019 this week.
