According to a report from Nikon Rumors, they have heard that Nikon could actually have a new APS-C camera in the works called the Nikon Z50. As we said, this is not the first time Nikon has launched an APS-C camera, but this will be a first for the Z-series of cameras which is Nikon’s new lineup of mirrorless cameras.
It will also represent the new branding method of Nikon, where it is expected that the Nikon Z(X) series will be for full-frame mirrorless cameras, while the Nikon Z(XX) cameras will use an APS-C sensor. The report claims that the camera will come with a 20MP sensor, a 3-inch LCD that can pivot, EVF, and 11 fps shooting speeds.
In addition to the camera, Nikon is also rumored to be working on two new Z-series lenses in the form of a 16-55mm lens and a 50-250mm lens. We’re not sure when the camera will be officially announced but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more details.
