Fujifilm X-A7 Entry-Level Mirrorless Camera Announced

Cameras can be an expensive hobby to get into, especially if you’re not sure if you’re quite ready to commit to buying lenses and so on. However, if you are looking to dip your toes in the water, you might be interested to learn that Fujifilm has recently taken the wraps off its latest entry-level camera in the form of the Fujifilm X-A7.

This is the successor to the X-A5 and it will be sporting a brand new 24.2MP APS-C sensor. It will also feature an ISO range of 200-12,800 that can be further expanded to 100-51,200 if you want. There will also be support for continuous shooting of up to speeds of 6 fps. Similar to the design of other Fujifilm cameras, the X-A7 will favor the use of external dials where there will be a dial on the top that lets users swap between the various shooting modes.

It will also be a somewhat decent camera for videography as it will shoot 4K videos at 30 fps. There will be a touchscreen LCD at the back that can be flipped out and articulated so that you can get down low or up high for those interesting angles and perspectives. Granted, it’s not quite as powerful as Fujifilm’s X-Pro, X-T, or X-H series of cameras, but at a starting price of $700, it should be good enough to get the job done.

It will also be compatible with Fujifilm’s Fujinon series of lenses, so if you have some of those lying around, you should be able to use them with the X-A7. The camera will be available for purchase starting 24th of October.
