While you’re outside, using your phone to browse the web is to be expected, but when you’re at home, it would be more comfortable using a computer. However, there are times when we might prefer using our phones, but that presents a problem when you’re trying to move from phone to PC.
However, the good news is that in the latest Chrome Canary, Google has introduced a new feature called “Shared clipboard”. Basically, what this does is that users will be able to copy content from Chrome on one device, and then they can paste it on another device. This will be useful if you want to copy and paste content from one device to the other, where in the past you might have to send yourself an email to do so.
This seems to be an expansion of the “Send to your Devices” feature, which in case you did not know, was introduced in Chrome 77. What this does is that users will be able to send web content from your desktop to mobile and vice versa, so this Shared Clipboard feature is similar in nature but focuses more on specific content that you want to copy.
That being said, this feature is only available in Chrome Canary which is kind of like the version of Chrome that tests out features in beta. We’re not sure when it will find its way to the stable release, but it does sound pretty useful and we wouldn’t mind seeing it released soon.
