This is according to a discovery by MacRumors where they stumbled across a section within iOS 13 that shows what appears to be the user interface for the tracking accessory. The UI still seems to be in the somewhat early stages of development as it mentions the accessory by its codename “B389”. From this interface, users will be able to add trackers to the list, meaning that if you have more than one, you can keep track of them through this app.
It is unclear why Apple has yet to officially announce the tracker as the iPhone event seemed like the perfect time, but perhaps it’s not quite ready yet. It will be similar to Tile in terms of functionality, but according to the rumors, it will also be more accurate due to Apple’s use of ultra-wide band technology that will make it more accurate compared to Bluetooth.
Apple still has at least one more event planned for the year where they will most likely launch new iPad Pros and possibly a new 16-inch MacBook Pro, so perhaps we will learn more about it then.
