If you grew up on consoles like the Game Boy and the SEGA Genesis, then there is a chance that you might have played some Disney games like The Lion King and Aladdin, which are widely-considered to be a “classic” these days. If you had fond memories playing those games, you’re in luck.
This is because if you were looking to relive those good old days, you’ll be pleased to learn that Nighthawk Interactive and Digital Eclipse have announced their plans to release both games for modern platforms where they will also be given a bit of a modern makeover so that those pixels don’t look massive on our high-def displays.
Dubbed Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King, this is a collection that will feature both games. They can be enjoyed in 1080p but in case you want a throwback to the good old days, you can actually apply some filters to recreate that fuzzy TV look. There will also be some modern creature comforts where players will be able to save their games or hit rewind if you made a mistake. There will also be cheat codes available in case you don’t really feel like a challenge.
The physical copy of the game will be retailing for $30 where it will be available for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
