According to the report, the Nikon D6 could be announced as soon as next week on the 4th of September. While the announcement will take place in September, it seems that the camera’s release might not happen until either late 2019 or possibly in 2020, so don’t expect to be able to get your hands on it anytime soon.
In terms of its specs, we have heard that one of the main selling points of the camera will be its sensor stabilization feature. This is versus lens-based stabilization where instead of photographers having to purchase lenses that come with stabilization built into them, any lens that they attach to the Nikon D6 should be stabilized.
Other specs include a 24MP sensor, 4K video recording at 60fps, and also longer manual exposure times. There is no word on pricing just yet, but if the 4th of September rumors are true, we should have more details next week.
