According to the reports, it seems that Sonos is aiming for portability with this pair of speakers. It is said to feature both Bluetooth and WiFi support, the former of which is a first for a Sonos speaker as the company’s audio products have typically not come with support for Bluetooth, suggesting that it will indeed focus on mobility.
As for the WiFi feature, it is expected to be the same as previous Sonos speakers, so don’t expect it to be too different. In terms of design, the FCC filing has revealed that it will look similar to the Sonos One speaker, except a little bit more rounded where it will continue to keep its controls on the top of the speaker.
Sonos is expected to host its own event on the 26th and 27th of August, so if you’d like to learn more about the speakers, the company should have the details then.
