If you write a lot, then you might be familiar with a piece of software called Grammarly, which is a service that lets you check your grammar as you write. It exists as a browser extension and it also exists as a third-party keyboard app for iOS and Android devices. If you use it as the latter, then a recent update to the app might be worth checking out.
This is because in the latest update to the Grammarly keyboard app for iOS and Android, the developers have brought synonym suggestions to the app. For those unfamiliar, synonyms are basically words that have near-identical meanings as each other. They are used to create some diversity in writing to let it flow smoother, instead of using the same word over and over again.
By introducing synonym suggestions to its keyboard app, users will now be able to replace words they type with different words if they want to shake things up. It can be used when you’re typing out a document on your phone and want to make it sound interesting. We’re not sure how useful it will be for texting, which is usually quite basic and simplistic, but the option is there if you want to use it.
The update should already be live so head on over to the iOS App Store or Google Play if you’d like to check it out.
