As some of you might have heard, Warner Bros. is developing a new Joker movie. This is expected to be separate standalone movie that explores the origins of the character, or at least one of the variations. In April, a trailer for the movie was released and if you wanted to see more, you’re in luck.
This is because the final trailer for the upcoming movie has been released. This gives us a much better look at the movie and the character. The character will be played by Joaquin Phoenix and the movie will be directed by Todd Phillips. We have to say that based on what we see, Phoenix looks like he could be a new fan-favorite, following Heath Ledger who played the Joker in Christopher Nolan’s Batman, and also Jack Nicholson who played the character in the 1989 Batman movie.
This movie, simply titled Joker, is currently set for a release on the 4th of October. We had heard reports that apparently there could be another Joker movie in the works, but this time it might star Jared Leto’s portrayal of the character who first made his debut in Suicide Squad. However, other reports are claiming that the movie might be shelved or placed on the backburner for now.
This is because director James Gunn will be directing a new Suicide Squad movie which is expected to be a reboot.
