However, earlier this year, Google announced that they will be making some changes to Chrome where going incognito will afford you that true privacy you desire. The good news is that if you were looking forward to this update, you’ll be pleased to learn that Google has since pushed out the latest update to Chrome where it will bump it to version 76 where Incognito mode is one of the changes that they have made.
For those who are unfamiliar and are wondering why this update is important, it is because previously, there was a loophole in which it allowed certain websites to know if you were browsing in private mode. It would then prevent the user from going forwards unless they signed in or use their browser in standard mode.
However, now that this loophole is closed, it means that you should be able to use your browser in private mode without any issues. This might not sit well with some websites, but then again, this was probably not what Google had intended for Incognito mode in the first place.
