The camera in question is rumored to be known as the Canon EOS R L, with the L apparently standing for “landscape”, suggesting that this camera could be aimed at those who enjoy shooting landscape photographs – basically photographs that might not necessarily have a lot of movement and could benefit from things like long exposure and whatnot.
The rumor also claims that this camera could come with a 75MP Dual Pixel CMOS full-frame sensor, and will come with a super high resolution mode that will apparently bring photos up to a whopping 400MP. It is also rumored to come with VR sensor stabilization, albeit a rather basic one, and that it will offer slow serial shooting speeds of 5-6 fps.
If you were wondering when you might be able to expect this camera, don’t hold your breath because in March, we heard that Canon does not have plans to launch any new cameras for 2019, so it will be 2020 earliest at best.
