One of the main selling points of Apple’s AirPower wireless charging mat is that it can charge multiple devices at once, such as the iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch. Unfortunately, the accessory has since been cancelled due to developmental issues, but it seems that Apple will offer up some third-party alternatives instead.
According to a tweet by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will start selling Mophie’s multi-device wireless charging mats. Mophie is no stranger to wireless charging, but it has been implied by Gurman that this could be a mat designed specifically for Apple as it is said to look like an AirPower clone, except that it will be in black and slightly thicker.
It is also said to not be quite as powerful as the AirPower as it will only allow two side-by-side charging at 7.5W, but it will also come with a USB-A port. No word on pricing, but the accessory is said to be launching next week so we expect we’ll have more details then. Mophie is not alone in creating multi-device chargers, but the fact that they will be sold by Apple does come with some level of endorsement attached to it.
For wireless charging fans: Mophie is launching an AirPower clone next week at Apple stores, am told. Looks like a thicker AirPower in black, but only two side-by-side devices. 7.5 watts, also has a normal USB-A port. (Apple’s was cancelled in March https://t.co/sKgjos7M1J)

There are plenty of other brands out there that also offer up multi-device charging that could be worth taking a look at if you’re interested as well.
