If you are in the market for a 5K display, then you’ll be pleased to learn that Apple has stocked the 5K 27-inch LG UltraFine display in its store. This is a new model and will be slightly different from the previous model that Apple had previously sold. While the resolution and color gamut remains the same, there are some changes made to its connections.
It can now connect to devices using USB-C (previously it connected using Thunderbolt 3), which means that in theory, you could connect this to the new iPad Pro which has replaced the Lightning port with USB-C. The display will also come with three downstream USB-C ports with speeds of up to 5GB/s.
There will also be a built-in camera, microphone, and a set of stereo speakers for those who prefer keeping their workstations neat. The new 5K LG UltraFine will be priced at $1,299.95 and if you’re interested, you’ll be able to purchase it via Apple’s Online Store.
