Xiaomi Unveils Its 70-inch 4K Redmi TV

When it comes to TVs, Xiaomi is no stranger to that field. The company has launched many TVs under its Mi TV lineup, but it looks like for the first time ever, the company will be launching a new TV under its Redmi branding. This has resulted in the Redmi TV, a 70-inch 4K TV with support for HDR.

The TV was unveiled in Beijing, China where according to Xiaomi, the TV will cost CNY 3,799, which after conversion is around $531, making it a relatively affordable TV for its size, resolution, and features. The TV will be powered by a quad-core 64-bit Amlogic SoC and will be accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. There will also be other features such as Dolby Audio and DTS HD.

Customers can also expect a variety of connectivity options, such as dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, two USB ports, three HDMI ports so that you can connect all your consoles to it, AV input, and more. There will also be a Bluetooth-powered remote control that will be included with the TV.

At the moment Xiaomi seems to only have plans to launch the TV in China. There is no word on international availability yet, but given that some Mi TV devices have found their way outside of China, perhaps the new Redmi TV might as well.
