According to a report from SamMobile, they are claiming that with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2, Samsung could be introducing a touch-sensitive bezel for the smartwatch. This is based on a trademark filing in which the company has filed for the name “Touch Bezel”, which doesn’t really leave much to the imagination.
In a way, this is a good thing because a rotating bezel means moving parts which could potentially be subject to mechanical failure. A touch-based option means that will not be an issue, but at the same time, we have to wonder how sensitive the bezel is and if it could be prone to accidental swipes.
It sounds like an interesting feature and we’ll have to get our hands on the watch to see how it works. There is still no word on when the Galaxy Watch Active 2 will be launched, but there is a good chance that it could be announced alongside the Galaxy Note 10 which is currently set to be revealed on the 7th of August.
