With multiple services trying out a subscription plan that lets subscribers watch as many movies as they want in a month for a set fee, Regal Cinemas now wants to try its hand with something like this as well. The company is launching its own movie subscription service which will enable subscribers to watch an unlimited number of movies every month.
According to the details provided on the theater chain’s website, moviegoers in larger markets such as New York and Los Angeles will have to pay for the Regal Unlimited All Access plans in order to find the theaters that are participating in this service.
Subscribers will be able to access the service through the Regal Cinemas app which is available for both iOS and Android. The app will be used to book the tickets. There will be a convenience fee of $0.50 for every movie that’s booked through the app. Surcharges will apply for special features such as 3D, marathons, 4DX, IMAX, and double features. The subscription plan does provide discounts at the concession stand and promises no blackout dates.
The subscription fee will range from $18 to $23.50 per month, depending on the location of the theater. The Regal Unlimited service is going to be launched by next week.
