Many LG fans have been looking forward to the G8S ThinQ, however, the company has kept it fairly out of reach of the world. LG debuted this device in Taiwan where it has remained exclusively for some time now. However, the wait for LG fans is finally over. The company has confirmed that it’s now releasing the LG G8S ThinQ globally.

As the name suggests, the LG G8S is only slightly different from the G8. It’s more or less the same device with a few minor spec changes and an additional camera.

While the LG G8 only has two rear cameras, the G8S has a standard, wide, and a telephoto triple camera system at the back. There’s also a Z-Camera depth sensor on the front for facial recognition and gestures. LG also increased the display size from 6.1 to 6.2 inches but lowered the resolution from 1440p to 1080p. The panel itself is still OLED.

The core specs remain the same, though, with a Snapdragon 855 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. LG will be offering the device in teal, black, and white colors later this month in Latin America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Pricing information will be revealed closer to launch. LG isn’t confirming any other launch markets for now.
