However, the good news is that the feature has since made a return where if you’re using devices like Google’s Chromecast Ultra or the Apple TV 4K, then you should be able to enjoy 4K content. That being said, there is a catch and that is users will need to have an internet connection that is at least 16Mbps, so if your internet is slower than that, then you won’t be able to enjoy your 4K stream.
Instead, you might end up streaming in Full HD which requires at least a 6Mbps line, or 720p if your internet can only achieve around 3Mbps. However, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing because it also means that if you have an internet data cap, you can enable lower-quality streams to help conserve your data.
In any case, the option to stream in 4K should already be live so if you own the Chromecast Ultra or the Apple TV 4K, then you might want to check it out.
