Plants vs. Zombies fan rejoice. EA has confirmed that the next title in this franchise is now in development. Not much has been revealed about the game at this point in time, only that it’s currently in a pre-alpha state on Android.
PopCap Games, the creator of this franchise, is working on the latest iteration. A playable pre-alpha has been launched on the Google Play Store. Those who are interested in trying it out can now sign up for the pre-alpha.
EA does point out that players should anticipate experiencing bugs during this stage so that’s something to keep an eye out for. There’s only going to be a limited number of downloads available for players in phases. If the option to download isn’t available at first, do try and check the page another day as spots might open up and you could get a chance to download it.
EA also mentions that Plants vs. Zombies 3 is currently under development so the pre-alpha build shouldn’t be taken as an accurate representation of the final game. This stage is only for getting feedback on combat features. “We’re saving a lot more for later,” it says. No word as yet on when this title will be released.
