DJI has created a couple of gimbals in the past, although they were mostly for mobile phones, such as the DJI Osmo, the Osmo Mobile, and the Osmo Mobile 2. However, if you want a gimbal designed for your mirrorless camera, then you might be interested to learn that DJI could have something new in the works.
In a teaser video that was uploaded onto its Twitter page, it showed blueprints for what appears to be a gimbal designed for mirrorless cameras. We should note that this is not the first time that DJI has created a gimbal for mirrorless cameras. Some might be familiar with the DJI Ronin-S, although the downside to that is that it is heavy and kind of expensive.
However, based on the teaser, it seems that the video is teasing that the upcoming gimbal could be lighter than the Ronin-S and “smarter”, although exactly what that means is unclear. DJI is expected to make the announcement official on the 17th of July, so if you are interested in a new gimbal for your mirrorless camera, it could be worth taking a look at.
