BenQ Unveils 27-inch 2K Monitor Aimed At Professionals

When it comes to monitors, they’re not all made the same. There are some monitors which are perfectly fine for general purpose, then there are some monitors that are designed for gamers where they offer up faster refresh rates and response times, then there are also monitors designed for video and photo professionals who seek the most accurate color reproduction as possible.

If that describes your needs, then you might be interested to learn that BenQ has taken the wraps off a new 27-inch 2K monitor in the form of the PhotoVue SW270C. Granted it only offers up 2K resolution instead of 4K, which is what some users might prefer, but at $800 it is one of the more affordable professional monitors around.

According to BenQ, the PhotoVue SW270C will offer up 99% AdobeRGB coverage, Color Uniformity Technology, a redesigned Hotkey Puck, 97% DCI-P3 coverage, and also support for native cadence. It will also adopt some of the newer technologies in the form of a USB-C port that users can use to hook up a laptop to while keeping it charged at the same time.

There will also be options for HDMI 2.0 ports, a single DisplayPort, two USB 3.1 ports, and a built-in SD card reader that will make it easier to transfer photos and videos to your computer. For those who are interested, you can head on over to B&H to purchase it.
