Back in the days of Diablo, some of the developers behind the game left Blizzard where they formed their own studio, Runic Games, which resulted in the Torchlight series, which many had hailed back then as a possible alternative to Diablo for those who enjoy this style of game.
The good news is that if you enjoyed the Torchlight series of games, you’ll be pleased to learn that Torchlight II has since been announced for the PS4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. For those unfamiliar, Torchlight II was originally launched on the PC back in 2012, which means that this is by no means a new game.
The console version, however, will not be developed by Runic. Instead, it appears that development duties has been taken over by Panic Button. That being said, if you fancy yourself a console gamer or if you prefer taking your games with you on the go, like on the Nintendo Switch, then this could be worth checking out. It is expected to launch this coming September and will come with support for multiplayer, new controls, a new targeting system, along with some exclusive pets that will accompany you in your travels
You can check out the trailer above if you’d like to see a bit of the game in action.
