This includes a Smart Camera, a WiFi Smart Plug, and a new Smart Bulb. Staring with the Smart Plug, this is a plug that you plug gadgets into and control them remotely. We’ve seen many similar solutions around and the upside is that it can turn “dumb” devices into smart ones, although for the most part it usually involves turning them on or off, but still useful in some cases for less complex gadgets such as our lights.
Speaking of lights, the SmartThings Smart Bulb will be an option to consider if you want to equip your home with smart lighting. It will be compatible with a variety of digital assistants such as Bixby, Google Assistant, and Alexa, so you can use similar devices to control the bulbs using your voice.
As for the Smart Camera, Samsung claims that the device is capable of being able to differentiate between people, pets, and objects, and as such will let users customize notifications they want to receive. There will also be support for two-way audio and it also offers up a 145-degree view.
If you’re interested in getting your hands on either device, the SmartThings Cam is priced at $90, the WiFi Smart Plug is priced at $18, while the Smart Bulb will be priced at $10.
