This is thanks to the use of G-Sync technology which means that when paired with an NVIDIA GPU, it will help sync up the framerates to help provide a smooth viewing experience without ghosting or screen-tearing. The monitor also benefits from having a 240Hz refresh rate, which is considerably higher than most standard monitors in the market today.
The only “downside” to this monitor is that it caps out at a max resolution of 1920×1080. In this day and age where 4K is becoming the norm, especially when considering it’s a gaming monitor, it is a bit disappointing. However, the upside is that using a Full HD resolution will probably help keep its price down somewhat.
According to Seog-gi Kim, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business, “Samsung’s delivering next-level gaming experiences with innovative curved displays using the latest graphics technology to immerse gamers like never before. Combining a 240Hz refresh rate with NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility in Samsung’s new CRG5 curved gaming monitor gives gamers advanced performance for the most graphic-intense games.”
