Sony offers a handful of games for free every month to members of its PlayStation Plus program. July 2019 is going to be no different. Sony has now confirmed the free games lineup for the coming month. The focus is going to be on sports titles in July so those who’re into sports will particularly like the lineup.
PES Productions’ Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 is the first title on the Sony PS Plus free games list for July 2019. It’s the only true competitor to the FIFA franchise from Electronic Arts. However, it doesn’t have some of the top-level clubs and leagues largely because EA has deeper pockets to pay for those expensive licenses that guarantee exclusivity to its franchise. PES fans do appreciate the franchise for its solid gameplay.
Horizon Chase Turbo is the second free title on the list. It provides a blast of ’90s nostalgia which draws inspiration from the likes of Out Run and Top Gear. It captures the essence of the 16-bit era with modern visuals, a great soundtrack, and classic split-screen multiplayer.
PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download both Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 and Horizon Chase Turbo from the PlayStation Store for free starting July 2nd through August 5th.
