Mojang, the developer of the popular Minecraft game, has confirmed that it’s going to end support for Minecraft: Stor Mode on June 25th, 2019. Those who play the title are now advised to download their episodes prior to the cutoff date or they will lose access. This game’s delisting isn’t surprising given that other games that Telltale Games had created have disappeared as well after the publisher shut down unexpectedly last year.
Telltale’s creations have gradually been disappearing ever since the publisher shut down. Earlier reports have revealed that titles such as Tales from the Borderlands have been taken down from Steam. Good Old Games has also confirmed that it won’t sell Telltale Games anymore. It had announced Minecraft: Story Mode back in 2014 and had launched this story-driven iteration of Minecraft in 2015.
Mojang confirms that since Telltale Games is no longer in business, Minecraft: Story Mode can no longer be supported. Those who have purchased Season 1 or 2 of this series are recommended to download all remaining episodes before the service is discontinued.
Players on supported platforms which include Windows, macoS, PlayStation 3, 4 and Vita, Xbox 360 and One, iOS or Android have until June 25th to download their remaining episodes. That’s when Mojang is going to end support for the game.
