With the announcement of iOS 13, we’re sure some are probably wondering if their iPhone is compatible with the update. According to Apple, as long as you have the iPhone SE or newer, then you should be able to update to iOS 13 when the update is released later in the year, possibly alongside the 2019 iPhones.
This includes the iPhone SE, iPhone 6S, 6S Plus, iPhone 7, 7 Plus, iPhone 8, 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and the XS Max. Notably absent from the list is the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, although it doesn’t really come as a surprise as last we heard, iOS 13 was rumored to finally drop support for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, and it turns out that they were right.
As some have pointed out, the list of support devices is smaller compared to previous iOS updates, but we reckon that support devices as old as the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus is still pretty good.
