If you were looking forward to seeing what Apple will come up with for the successor to last year’s iPhone XS and XS Max, we reckon that the iPhone XR 2 could actually prove to be a more interesting phone to anticipate. This is because according to a report out of Korea, the iPhone XR 2 could have the biggest battery in iPhone history.

According to the report, it claims that Apple might be using a battery with a 3,110mAh capacity. Now, this is rather small and something of a pittance when you compare it with Android phones, but if true, it could be the biggest battery we’ve seen from Apple to date. This is also an increase from the iPhone XR which came with a 2,942mAh battery.

It has also been suggested that couple the larger battery size and the use of the A13 chipset, which should come with power efficiency improvements, it could potentially allow the phone to break the 12-hour battery life mark. So far, the iPhone XR 2 is shaping up to be quite an exciting handset where last we heard, it could be adopting the use of a dual camera.

This, together with the bigger battery and more affordable price tag, makes the phone more compelling to customers who’d rather not fork out over $1,000 for Apple’s latest and greatest iPhone. However, until we get official word, it’s probably best to take it with a grain of salt.
